Hey now music lovers!
I've found some great bands in the Karl Denson genre such as Soulive, Melvin Sparks, Mamacita and Global Funk Council. I'd love to hear other suggestions. -Peace

and definately also listen to (also on the archive): Maktub and Das Rut. Both are from seattle and actually ahve some of the same members. Lots of funk/groove/ soul, great stuff. Maktub is doing a few shows next week in california if you are around:

Absolutely check out Robert Walter's 20th Congress. I'll even give you a show: the one from October 23rd of last year, which at least as of now is the most recently added show.
